Garden Reading – Women Painters in Ahrenshoop: Dora Koch-Stetter (1881–1968)
Koch-Stetter’s vividly colored paintings offer insights into the evolution of painting and the social upheavals of the 20th century. Through her works, she came close to the style of her role models—Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, and Paul Gauguin—the pioneers of European modernism.
